RNA quality is one of the most important factors for successful gene expression analysis by microarrays. RNA purified with this kit has been thoroughly tested on and optimized for not only our GEArray® DNA microarrays but also other microarray platforms. The RNA isolated by the ArrayGrade Kit generates more specific signals from these microarrays by reducing interference from enzyme inhibitors and other contaminating nucleic acids.

Convenience and Efficiency

The ArrayGrade Total RNA Isolation Kit provides an easy and efficient approach to acquire total RNA of a greater purity and higher yield. The protocol takes only 30 minutes of hands-on time, and the kit includes sufficient materials to purify 12 RNA samples.

The ArrayGrade Total RNA Isolation Kit employs a special silica membrane spin column technology. The lysis buffer, with its chaotropic components, stabilizes and prevents degradation of the RNA and allows optimal retention of the RNA on the spin column. Washing the column removes salts, metabolites, and other macromolecular cellular components. Low ionic strength conditions then elute pure RNA from the column.

The ArrayGrade Total RNA Isolation Kit has been tested using human cell lines (such as HEK-293, HeLa, MCF-7, and MDA-231) and mouse tissues (heart, liver, lung, kidney, brain, and others).
