     Quantitative PCR Services Using the Calibration Curve Method:
Generation of calibration curve for each gene of interest and your choice of a housekeeping gene
     Uses our XpressRef™ Universal Reference RNA
     Duplicate curves with five orders of magnitude
     Choose an appropriate housekeeping gene [here]
Technical triplicates of two different template amounts for each gene in each sample
Quantitative calibrated determination of normalized changes in expression
     Quantitative PCR Services Using the ΔΔCt Method:
Technical triplicates for each gene including a housekeeping gene in each sample
Use of ΔΔCt method to calculate normalized expression changes
Accuracy insured by high amplification efficiencies

RNA Isolation Services

Standard RNA Isolation Services:
We can accept the following biological source material: Cells (transformed, cultured cells or primary cells), Tissue Samples or Biopsies (fresh or frozen), Blood, and others. Contact a Technical Support representative for more information.
Specialized RNA Isolation Services:
After a free comprehensive consultation, we can also accept FFPE samples (Formalin-Fixed Paraffin Embedded), LCM samples (Laser Capture Micro-dissection), Fine Needle Biopsies (FNB), and other small samples. Contact a Technical Support representative for more information.

Agilent Gene Expression DNA Microarrays

Confirmation of RNA sample concentration on a NanoDrop spectrophotometer and RNA quality on an Agilent 2100 BioAnalyzer with a RNA 6000 NanoChip
Your choice of:
    One-color experiments, one sample per array
    Two-color experiments with universal RNA normalization, one sample per array
    Two-color experiments for pair-wise comparisons, two samples per array
Synthesis of Cy3- and/or Cy5-labeled target using an amino allyl method
Purification and quality control check of the labeled target
    Length determination on an Agilent 2100 BioAnalyzer with a RNA 6000 NanoChip     Quality-controlled pre-synthesized and labeled target may also be accepted for hybridization service only. Please contact a Technical Sales representative for more information.
Hybridization, after optimal target fragmentation, to the DNA Microarray of your choice
Sensitive fluorescent detection to collect raw expression profile data using the Agilent 2565A scanner
Data output as a text file containing gene-annotated raw and image normalized data

Affymetrix™ GeneChips®

Unbiased synthesis of biotin-labeled target using the recommended Enzo method
     Synthesis and cleanup of double-stranded cDNA from the RNA samples
     Preparation of biotinylated cRNA using the standard IVT-based method
Purification and quality control check of the biotin-labeled target
     Length determination by gel electrophoresis
Optimal cRNA fragmentation and quality control check
     Length determination by gel electrophoresis
Hybridization to the GeneChip of your choice provided separately
Sensitive fluorescent detection to collect raw expression profile data using the Agilent 2500A scanner
Clear and thorough data analysis using Microarray Suite 5.0
