Obtain an order form and more specific instructions, and arrange shipment and payment.

General Requirements for the Total RNA Samples Include:

Amount

No less than 3 micrograms for each GEArray® sample
No less than 1 microgram for each PCR Array or real-time PCR sample
No less than 0.5 micrograms for each Agilent Gene Expression DNA Microarray sample
No less than 15 micrograms for each GeneChip® sample

If less than the recommend amount of RNA is available, contact a Technical Support representative to make special arrangements.

Dissolved in RNase-free water at concentration greater than 0.5 mg/ml.

Report actual concentration as well as A260/A280 and A260/A230 ratios.
Please note that shipments containing RNA samples requiring further concentration or purification by ethanol precipitation will incur an extra $ 150 surcharge per order.

Confirmation of RNA Sample Integrity

Provide picture of ethidium-bromide stained agarose gel or analysis report from Agilent 2100 BioAnalyzer.
Demonstrate sharp, intact 28S and 18S rRNA bands or peaks with ~ 2:1 intensity ratio.

Indicate the catalog number(s) of the product(s) to be used for the analysis.

Shipment: US Customers:

Ship samples overnight on at least 10 pounds (lbs) of dry ice.
Customers located on the Maryland NIH campuses may request us to pick up their samples.

Shipment: International Customers:

Ship samples on a Tuesday or on a Friday to arrive within three days.
Ship samples on at least 25 pounds (lbs) of dry ice
Contact our local distributor in your area for help with setting up the shipment.

In other words, use at least enough dry ice to guarantee samples arrive frozen.
If samples are shipped improperly, we will request another shipment of samples. 

Upon receipt of your Purchase Order:

A Customer Support representative will contact you to confirm your order and provide an expected completion date. Priority is assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.
A complete service typically and currently requires:
    5-7 business days for RNA Isolation Service
    8-10 business days for GEArray® Service
