How to find the RefSeq Number for your gene?
  1. Go to the NCBI's Entrez Gene Homepage (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=gene)
  2. Type the name of your gene into the "Query" window at the top of the page.
  3. Choose your gene from the search results. (Be sure it is from the proper organism.) Click on the associated "Gene Symbol" to see the details.
  4. Click on the "RefSeq below" link next to the "Transcripts and products" or scroll down to "NCBI Reference Sequences (RefSeq)". The RefSeq Number for your gene will appear below this heading, after "mRNA Sequence".
