SABiosciences INTRODUCES NEW LINE OF PATHWAY-SPECIFIC OLIGO GEARRAY® FOCUSED DNA MICROARRAYS
Frederick, MD. June 25, 2004 - SABiosciences Corp. announced today the
launch and availability of the first in its new line of pathway-specific Oligo
GEArray® Focused DNA Microarrays. The initial Oligo GEArray offerings include
gene content specific to human hematology and human cancer.
The Oligo GEArray Focused DNA Microarrays employ chemiluminescence detection
and a new, one-tube labeling method to deliver optimum sensitivity and
selectivity, while simplifying the overall protocol. The labeling,
hybridization and detection protocols require only equipment found in a typical
molecular biology laboratory.
"This new line of pathway-specific microarrays complements the already
prolific biological pathways and applications represented by our popular
GEArray cDNA Microarrays. The 60-mer oligo array system will allow us to more
rapidly add new pathway-specific arrays to our present offerings. Additionally,
the Oligo GEArray systems include carefully designed optimization control
features and a robust, easy to use RNA amplification/labeling kit. We are
pleased to offer our customers such a flexible, yet powerful, new gene
expression research tool at a price every lab can afford", said Dr. Sean
Yu, Vice President of Operations at SABiosciences Corp.
The Oligo GEArray® Microarray gene content can be easily customized,
allowing complete tailoring of a microarray's gene content for as little as
$100 per array. The SABiosciences web site guides prospective users through the
process of ordering customized Oligo GEArrays.
SABiosciences Corp. develops and markets a wide range of innovative,
pathway-focused life science research products. The company's four technology
platforms are the foundation of its complementary toolset for systematic gene
expression profiling (DNA microarrays), gene expression verification (PCR),
gene suppression (siRNA) and gene function (ELISA) on a pathway-by-pathway
basis. For more information, please visit the company's web site, http://www.sabiosciences.com.
