HOW IT WORKS:
The RT² Profiler™ PCR Arrays
contain not only pathway-focused or customized gene lists, but also control
features that work with the RT² First Strand Kit to test for residual genomic
DNA contamination and inhibitors of both reverse transcription and PCR
amplification in each sample. The use of only one cocktail in the protocol makes

The RT² qPCR Master Mixes contain a unique
hot-start enzyme and other proprietary components that guarantee both
consistently high amplification efficiencies and single gene-specific products
of the predicted size without primer dimers. Each formulation includes the
correct reference dye for the instrument available in your laboratory or local

The RT² First Stand Kit completely eliminates any residual genomic DNA contamination from your RNA
samples with a proprietary buffer formulation. A built-in external RNA control
works with control assays printed into each PCR Array to test for inhibitors of
reverse transcription. The sensitivity of the simple two-step, 30-minute
protocol accommodates 25 ng to 1 µg amounts of input total RNA. See
