| Description |
The CASE™ Kit for BCR is designed to analyze BCR phosphorylation in cultured mouse cell lines. This cell-based ELISA kit quantifies the amount of activated (phosphorylated) BCR protein relative to total BCR protein. The phosphorylation site is tyrosine 177. By determining BCR protein phosphorylation in your experimental model system, you can verify BCR pathway activation in your cell line and determine the effect of various treatments, inhibitors, or activators on the pathway. Need more information about CASE kit? Please visit Protein Phosphorylation Home or send Email to Technical Support. More information on the BCR protein from NCBI: "A reciprocal translocation between chromosomes 22 and 9 produces the Philadelphia chromosome, which is often found in patients with chronic myelogenous leukemia. The chromosome 22 breakpoint for this translocation is located within the BCR gene. The translocation produces a fusion protein which is encoded by sequence from both BCR and ABL, the gene at the chromosome 9 breakpoint. Although the BCR-ABL fusion protein has been extensively studied, the function of the normal BCR gene product is not clear. The protein has serine/threonine kinase activity and is a GTPase-activating protein for p21rac. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene." ¹ Each antibody stock must be freshly diluted by the
appropriate factor into Antibody Dilution Buffer on the same day of
the experiment. See the CASE™ Kit User Manual for more details.
² 10X Washing Buffer and 10X Antigen Retrieval Buffer must be
diluted to 1X with dH2O before use.
³ Just before use, dissolve powder in 30 ml 1X Washing Buffer by
mixing well. Once dissolved, Blocking Buffer may be stored at 4 ºC
for up to two (2) weeks.
