GEArray® HybPlate Format
Easier Handling and Time-Saving Platform for Improved Reliability

The HybPlate format for the GEArray® delivers easy handing, speed, and greater assay consistency for microarray-based experiments. It is especially suitable for projects with a large number of samples, but can also be applied to projects with any number of samples. The HybPlate format utilizes an innovative 8-well Multi-chamber HybPlate for use with a standard 60 ºC incubator and a static two-day protocol. The HybPlates may also be used in an inexpensive specialized Thermoshaker and a shaking one-day protocol for greater speed and throughput. The HybPlates are designed to process any number of GEArrays with improved consistency and minimal hands-on time. With the static protocol in a standard 60 ºC incubator, one trained researcher can comfortably process at least 32 arrays in two days. With the Thermoshaker, up to 32 arrays can be processed in only one day, from sample labeling to the finished microarray images. The GEArray HybPlate formatted microarrays are available in both cataloged array and custom array formats.

Features Unique to the GEArray HybPlate Format:

Hybridization: Membranes are conveniently used in 8-well Multi-chamber HybPlates with a standard incubator and a static two-day protocol or using a specialized but inexpensive Thermoshaker (for only ~$2000) and a one-day protocol rather than a rotisserie- or roller bottle-type of hybridization oven.
